A SUBALPINE WARBLER on blakeney point was the highlight today, also the 5 BLACK WINGED STILTS still at Titchwell, the welney bluethroat and a passage of 26 Manx Shearwaters passed Trimingham.

Titchwell hit the headlines today with a flock of 5 BLACK WINGED STILTS on the fresh marsh and a GULL BILLED TERN which flew over the reserve twice and was last seen at Holme, both very rare birds in the county. The Bluethroat is still at Welney

Unfortunately the Trumpeter Finch has gone, Bluethroat still at Welney, A brief Purple Heron in the broads, 5 Cranes over Cley and wells, Osprey over Gt. Ryburgh and Curlew Sandpiper at Titchwell.

New arrivals today included a smart Marsh Warbler at Gramborough hill, an elusive THRUSH NIGHTINGALE at Walsey hills, the TRUMPETER FINCH is still at Cley and was joined by the reappearing Red Backed Shrike

Finally a mega in Norfolk, adult male TRUMPETER FINCH seen on blakeney point then presumably the same bird transferred to the north end of east bank for the afternoon. Other news the bluethroat was still singing at Welney

A BEE-EATER paid a brief visit to Salthouse this morning, otherwise pretty quiet with the Bluethroat at Welney, Temminck’s Stint at Cley and Spoonbill at Titchwell in the morning only.
